New Horizon Church builds relationships with local and global leaders to identify areas where compassion is needed and hope can bring encouragement to our community and beyond.

Once needs are identified and prioritized, New Horizon will mobilize volunteers and, if possible, allocate resources to unleash compassionate service, build relationships for lasting impact, and share the hope of Jesus for a stronger more connected community.

“You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Acts 1:8

Jesus gave His Church a mandate to reach the world
around them in three areas:

Our City

The primary way we reach our city is through our strategic ministry partners like Ignite C3 Ministries, The Durham Rescue Mission, Pregnancy Support Services, Transforming Hope Ministries, C.C. Spaulding and Central Elementary School.

Our Nation

The primary way we reach our Nation is by training leaders and supporting ministries like Samaritan’s Purse.

Our World

New Horizon Church strategically invests a portion of its resources in missions works all around the world with a focus on unreached people groups and children.

What can I do?

“Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’”

Matthew 9:37-38

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’ He said, ‘Go and tell this people.’”

Isaiah 6:8-9

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Matthew 6:19-21

Many of our outreach ministries begin with opportunities discovered by groups, which means group members are the first people mission opportunities are shared.
