New Horizon exists to lead people to Jesus and teach them to follow Him - and that’s the heart behind everything we do. We want to create an environment where you can be challenged and encouraged, find Christ-centered community, and grow in your faith.

Whether you are a life long church attender or you've never experienced a worship service before, you are welcome here at New Horizon. We have a relaxed and fun environment where anyone can feel comfortable, regardless of your background or current circumstance.

Him

We believe in an all powerful God who loves us where we are and calls us to life change as we follow Jesus. He created a way for us to be forgiven, and wants us to repent of our sins and come home to our heavenly Father. Our response to this is to obey Him, love Him, and love others.

What we believe

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under his control daily.

Dwayne Sayre

Senior Pastor

Dwayne started at NHC in September 2010 as the student pastor. Over his tenure at New Horizon, he has served as the Family Pastor and Executive Pastor and in January of 2022 became our Senior Pastor. Dwayne has been married to his wife Laura since 2011. They have 3 boys and 2 granddaughters. He enjoys hanging out with Laura, holding her hand, traveling with her, the Oklahoma Sooners, and golfing.

Dwayne attended Olivet Nazarene University and Nazarene Bible College. He is excited to see the folks of New Horizon Church live out the mission, "To lead people to Jesus and teach them how to follow him." Seeing people become fully devoted followers of Christ and disciples making disciples is what fires him up.
